Community/Fellowship
Christmas House
Christmas House
is a festive annual event in which our parish comes together in the
name of fun and fellowship, to create a 2-day holiday celebration in
December. Against a backdrop of pine trees, tinsel and twinkling lights,
find an array of treasures handcrafted and donated by our parishioners
to be purchased as home décor or given as special gifts. Home-cooked
meals are planned for lunch, dinner and breakfast, as well as a variety
of activities to entertain the whole family. Christmas House planning
begins early in the year with craft workshops generally beginning in
the Fall. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to get involved.
During this most wondrous time of the year, Christmas House is an outstanding
opportunity to make life-long friends within our parish community!
Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts is a
program designed to help boys become leaders, instill good Catholic
moral and ethical decision making skills and help teach them to get
along with peers and adults. Cub Scout dens meet at various times and
places depending on the individual den leaders. We need adults who have
a willingness to help teach and mentor, will be committed to the program
and want to have fun. Join us in this excellent opportunity for boys
and parents to interact and develop good attitudes toward God, country
and others.
CYO Athletic
Club
This is a Parish
organization whose primary focus is to organize and support structured
athletic programs for all the youth of the parish. Practice times accommodate
all local school schedules. Fund-raisers enable the Athletic Club to
provide equipment and uniforms for the athletes. Coaches are needed
for football, cheerleading, boys and girls basketball, volleyball, soccer
and track. If you believe in encouraging our children to do their best,
to be good sports and to have fun, we could use your help.
Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts/Brownies
help girls grow to be spiritual, caring, competent and confident young
women. The program teaches girls to serve God and their country and
to help people at all times by being honest, fair, friendly, helpful,
considerate, caring, courageous, strong and respectful. Girl Scout and
Brownie troops organize several field trips and meet at various times
and locations depending on the needs of the troop and the leaders. Currently
we need leaders who are able to direct and coordinate individual troop
meetings and who are patient and willing to dedicate themselves to the
purpose of inspiring girls with the highest deals of character, conduct,
patriotism and service. Please explore the possibility of helping our
girls make the world a better place.
St. Augustine School
Parents' Club
The Parents’
Club promotes and enhances the welfare of St. Augustine School through
fundraisers and many fellowship opportunities. They also provide support
for teachers, students and parents. Throughout the school year there
are many opportunities to become involved. Individuals that are organized,
creative and/or energetic are needed to attain the goals of the Parents’
Club. All school parents are invited to become members.
St. Augustine Turtle
Fest
The St. Augustine
Turtle Fest Committee is responsible for the organization of the annual
parish festival. The Turtle Fest is held in September of each year.
The Turtle Fest Committee is responsible for organizing chairpersons,
workers, security and publicity. Meetings begin in the winter and continue
through the turtle fest weekend. Pre-teens to adults are welcome to
help at the festival. This is a great fellowship opportunity and avenue
for making life-long friends in the parish community.
