Interested in Our School?

St. Augustine School educates children beginning in Preschool through the Eighth grade. Operated as a ministry of St. Augustine Parish and the Diocese of Toledo, the school serves children in our community, our parish, and from adjacent parishes without Catholic schools. Our enrollment includes students from Napoleon, Liberty Center, McClure, Florida, Holgate, Wauseon, and Defiance.

St. Augustine School emphasizes Catholic values through the curriculum with service projects, local and global mission efforts, and liturgical planning and participation. Students are offered a varied curriculum with instruction in small class sizes. Our students' discipline and leadership skills are known in the community, and they continue to exhibit these qualities as they continue on to high school and college.

We have services of an Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Title I Reading Teacher, Intervention Specialist and a Special Education Aide. We have a very strong music program and Drama Club with plays and concerts scheduled several times a year.  All students have one-to-one technology and every classroom is equipped with Clevertouch Technology.

St. Augustine School is in a unique position as it is the only Catholic school in Henry County. Our well-maintained facility offers a safe place for our children to learn and play. An Extended day program is in place so parents may drop their children at school beginning at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

There is never a lack of opportunity to participate in activities at St. Augustine School. Field trips to the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Art Museum, a bi-annual trip to Camp Damascus and Washington D.C. for the upper classes takes place. The school's Student Council involves students in grades K to 8 with officers from the 7th and 8th grades providing leadership. Students have sports opportunities through CYO and work cooperatively with local clubs, and other parochial and local public schools. Students are participating in football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, swimming, track & field, and cross country.

Service is a very important part of our curriculum.  We participate in the St. Jude Math-a-thon and Kids Heart Challenge. The students participate in the Henry County Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, and an annual Academic Fair is held for students in grades 5th - 8th.

We are blessed with a strong and active Parents Club which helps organize and fund activities and field trips. They sponsor a book fair each year, Halloween “Trunk or Treat”, Secret Santa, Christmas lunch, family bowling night in the winter, and a teacher appreciation meal in the spring.

Parents who choose St. Augustine to assist their efforts to educate their child are investing in their child's future by providing a lifelong gift. A solid academic program infused with Catholic values and supported by parents will go a long way to help children develop into mature Christian witnesses.

St. Augustine has 65 students enrolled in Preschool through 8th grade, as of October 31, 2021.
